During the week of September 1-7, 2014, at least nine persons were killed in the armed conflict in Northern Caucasus. No wounded persons were reported. These are the results of calculations made by the "Caucasian Knot" based on its own materials and information from other open sources.

One of the men killed at night on August 6 in Khasavyurt was initially identified incorrectly. Now, investigators found that not Ruslan Magomedov but Eldar Khaidarbiev was killed, the "Kommersant" reports. Earlier, Khaidarbiev was declared killed in a special operation on August 22.

In Azerbaijan, the administration of the Baku SIZO (pre-trial prison) No. 1 has confiscated the complaint of the lawyer Intigam Aliev, who is kept at the facility, about violations of detainees' rights addressed to the bosses of the Penitentiary Service, said Aliev's advocate Anar Gasymly.

Djabrail Nurulaev was detained in Dagestan after a search in the village of Komsomolskoe, Kizilyurt District. According to his relatives, the advocate is not admitted to see him, said Aisha Selimkhanova, the spokeswoman of the Dagestani Regional Public Organization (DRPO) "Pravozaschita" (Advocacy).

The defender of Leonid Martyniuk, a member of the Federal Political Council of the RPR-Parnas Party, who has served 10 days of his administrative arrest in jail in Krasnodar, has appealed against the arrest of his client at the Territorial Court; however, the complaint has not been considered yet, Martyniuk told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

The participants of the today's picket in Volgograd have demanded from the authorities to provide all the children of the region with places in kindergartens by January 1, 2016, as well as to resume full funding of the already existing network of kindergartens in the region.

A certain Magerram Gasanov, a participant of the quarrel with journalist Seimur Ghazi, who had been earlier arrested in connection with the incident, is now in detention too. Colleagues of Seimur Ghazi treate Gasanov's detention as "imitation of objective inquiry."

Law enforcers are putting pressure on the Dagestani woman, who earlier had a complaint about the sexual assault against her committed by a policeman. Today, two men have been killed during a shootout with the police that occurred in Khasavyurt. According to sources in the law enforcement bodies of Dagestan, the killed men were involved in the armed underground.

Advocate Sapiyat Magomedova has reported on sending an appeal to the Russian Ministry of Finance requesting to allocate funds from the federal budget for compensation to residents of the village of Mekhelta of the Gumbet District of Dagestan affected by the torrential rains. According to the local residents, the problem of compensation is still acute.

As reported by the Russia's National Antiterrorist Committee (NAC), Murad Gadjiev, who was killed today by power agents, and who was suspected of involvement in the death of Judge Akhmed Radjabov, was convicted in 2011 on charges of selling drugs. Gadjiev case was then considered by Akhmed Radjabov, the "Kommersant" writes.

As reported by the press service of the General Prosecutor's Office (GPO) of Azerbaijan, the prohibition imposed on the former Azerbaijani opposition activist Said Nuri to leave the country is caused by his role of a witness in a criminal case and the need to take part in investigatory actions. Besides, law enforcement bodies treat Nuri as an Azerbaijani citizen and reject his American citizenship.
