Today, the Azerbaijani police have prevented residents of central Baku from holding a protest – they are dissatisfied with the amount of compensations offered to them for demolition of their houses.

The explosion in the office of the Popular Front Party of Azerbaijan (PFPA) may be an attempt to put pressure on the party because of its oppositional activities, said Gezyal Bairamly, the deputy chair of the Party. According to her story, now, the PFPA can be moved out under the pretext of the emergency condition of the building.

Oppositionists and civil society activists have welcomed the report, while the official Baku has rejected the criticism.

Roman Shikarev, the organizer of the rally against discrimination of Sochi residents has received a court ruling on his complaint against inaction of the city administration (Mayoralty) at considering his notification about a public action. The Court has found the complaint reasonable and ordered the officials to eliminate the violations.
