A court in Chechnya has violated the rights of citizens of Ukraine Nikolai Karpyuk and Stanislav Klykh by allowing the public prosecutor to read out their testimonies obtained through torture, said their advocates.

The restrictions introduced in the village of Gimry in connection with the counterterrorist operation (CTO), which resulted in killing Abdula Nustafaev, have been lifted.

Today, the court has chosen, in respect of Imam Isa Koitemirov from the village of Novokayakent, the measure of freedom restriction in the form of two-month custody, a source from the Kayakent District Court told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent. "Koitemirov is arrested until December 25," said the source.

In the course of considering his case, the rights of Kurman-Ali Baichorov, a Kislovodsk Imam, to defence, a fair trial and freedom of conscience had been violated, his advocates, who have sent a complaint today to the European Court of Human Rights (ECtHR), believe.
