Nalchik native sentenced to 16 years of imprisonment in a case on terrorism
In Rostov-on-Don, the court found Azamat Kalov guilty of plotting a terror act in Cherkessk, swearing allegiance to the leader of the “Islamic State” (IS, a terrorist organization, banned in Russia by the court, – note of the “Caucasian Knot”), and justifying terrorism. Azamat Kalov was sentenced to 16 years of imprisonment in a high-security penal colony and a fine of 250,000 roubles, the press service for the Southern District Military Court reports today.
