Activists of the "Ecological Watch for Northern Caucasus" have sent an official appeal to the Russian Minister of Natural Resources and Environment Yury Trutnev, where they ask to cancel two tenders on construction of the road running to the weather station in the Republic of Adygea.

On October 10, in the Svetloyarsky District of the Volgograd Region, a rally was held near the municipal district administration in protest against actions of the district head Nikolai Krutov. On October 9, Vladimir Asatryan, 19, a regular soldier of one of the units of the Defence Army of Nagorno-Karabakh, committed suicide by killing himself from a submachine gun.
