Woman, accused of killing pensioner in Apsheronsk, is not Jehovah's Witness, believers assert
A 29-year-old female native of Uzbekistan was detained on charges of murdering an 88-year-old female resident of the city of Apsheronsk. According to investigators, she was connected with the religious organization "Jehovah's Witnesses". This was reported by the press service of the Investigatory Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF) in the Krasnodar Territory. In their turn, Jehovah's Witnesses stated that the defendant was not a member of the organization.
Dagestani native complains about prohibition to visit his native village
Gazimagomed Abdullaev, a native of Dagestan, who permanently resides in Moscow, stated that border guards did not allow him visiting his native village Vitsiyatl of the Tsuntin District. According to the Border Guard Department of the Russian FSB in the Republic of Dagestan, Gazimagomed Abdullaev was not allowed to the village of Vitsiyatl, since he failed to obtain a permission to stay in the border area.
In southern Russia, participants of protest actions against Russia's accession to WTO fear of worsening social and economic problems
Yesterday, on July 3, several cities of southern Russia hosted protest actions against Russia's accession to the World Trade Organization (WTO), which were organized by the regional branches of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation (CPRF). The protest actions were attended by representatives of other social and political movements. Most of the supporters of the protest actions believe that Russia's accession to the WTO will ultimately destroy the national economy and deteriorate the social and economic situation in the country.
