Vladimir Putin's portrait fixed at one of mountain peaks of North Ossetia, bloggers express their indignation
A group of climbers from North Ossetia, who have accomplished an ascent to one of unnamed peaks of the Greater Caucasus Mountain Range, fixed there a portrait of Russian President Vladimir Putin. Kazbek Khamitsaev, Chairman of the Republic's Climbing Federation, announced the intention to submit an application for naming the mountain peak as "Putin Peak". However, the proposal sparked strong criticism of bloggers in North Ossetia.

Kizlyar District resident asks human rights defenders to help to find her son's wife and baby
Khati Radjabova, a resident of the village of Bondarenovka of the Kizlyar District of Dagestan, appealed to the Dagestani Regional Public Organization "Pravozaschita" (Advocacy) with a request to assist in the search for the wife of her son and her baby, whose fate is unknown to her since September 23. The woman suspects that the wife of her son may be kept at one of the police stations in Makhachkala.
