Three human rights defenders from Dagestan were not included in the list of participants of the visiting meeting of the Human Rights Council under the President of Russia. This was declared by Magomed Shamilov, Chairman of the trade union of staff members of law enforcement bodies.

Today, Elena Denisenko, the representative of the Human Rights Centre (HRC) "Memorial" in Dagestan, and foreign journalists were detained at the entrance to the Dagestani village of Gimry. This was told to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent by a source in the Untsukul District.

A policeman from the Khasavyurt GOVD (City Interior Division) has threatened Sapiyat Magomedova, who is defending the interests of the detained Rizvan Yakubov. The relatives of Rizvan Yakubov demanded to explain why the young man was detained and to allow his advocate to visit him. Policemen dispersed the protesters, and several persons were detained.

Zeitun Kudaev, a resident of Nalchik, who was detained by policemen on July 4, was released without any charges. This was reported by his advocate Mukhtar Mishaev.
