Commissions to control catering set up in Volgograd kindergartens

Quality inspection commissions are monitoring meals in kindergartens of Volgograd after the switchover to outsourcing. The catering in kindergartens has not changed, say the parents.

Since January 9, three companies, selected at the municipal contest, are supplying food to kindergartens of Volgograd. The prosecutor's office believes that the decision to move to outsourcing was adopted with violations.

So far, the switchover to outsourcing causes no complaints in heads of pre-school institutions, reports the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent, who visited today kindergarten No. 224 of the Tsentralny District of Volgograd.

Natalia Churyumova, the head of the kindergarten, said that her institution has the same duly-balanced menu, approved by the "Rospotrebnadzor" (Russian Federal Service for Surveillance on Consumer Rights Protection and Human Wellbeing); and the received foodstuffs are of good quality.

The head of the Tsentralny Territorial Division of the Department for Education of Volgograd has also stated that "parents and public organizations may control the catering."
