Catering in Volgograd kindergartens organized by outsourcing
Starting from today, food is supplied to Volgograd kindergartens by three companies, which were chosen at the municipal contest. The decision to switchover to outsourcing was made with violations, the prosecutor's office believes.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on November 9, 2016, the Volgograd City Duma approved the switchover to outsourcing in kindergartens' catering. Now, a single supplier will respond for supplying food there. On November 19, Volgograd residents held a picket against this decision.
The right to supply food to kindergartens was awarded to the Limited Liability Company (LLC) "Venera", Individual Entrepreneur (IE) Strelnikov and the LLC "SPP Trading House", said the Mayoralty.
Parents of preschool children fear that their kids will receive low-quality cold food cooked without due supervision.
However, the spokesman of the Mayoralty has assured that "food will be cooked at catering units of kindergartens, and no supply of semi-finished is envisioned."
In his turn, Dmitri Simanovich, the public prosecutor of Volgograd, has lodged a presentation to the City Duma demanding to make public the above decision on the transfer of the municipal kindergarten catering to commercial organizations. This was reported by Konstantin Kalion, a City Duma Deputy.
