The public organization of the Adyg people "Khasse" has made a statement on the fact of beating the leader of the "Circassian Congress" Ruslan Keshev in Kabardino-Balkaria. The statement notes that the aim of this attack was to disrupt preparation for the rally of Adyg public planned for December 5 in Nalchik.

Today, at the Tbilisi airport, a group of Russian experts was not allowed to cross the state border. Having spent half an hour in Georgia, they took a return flight and came back to Moscow via Yerevan.

The "Caucasian Knot" correspondent has learnt from duly informed sources that at 5:30 p.m. several persons, led by a criminal authority, rushed into the office of the NGO and attacked him. Mr Keshev had his nose and arm broken and received other traumas.

The Human Rights Centre (HRC) "Memorial" plans to restart its activities in the territory of the Chechen Republic in near future. However, the format can be somewhat different.

Today, advocate Magomed Gasanov, a proxy of the LLC "Novoe Delo", owner of the weekly of the same name, has filed a claim to the Federal Court of the Sovietskiy District of Makhachkala on defence of the honour, dignity and business reputation. The respondent under the claim is Garun Kurbanov, Minister for National Policy, Information and Foreign Relations of Dagestan.

Today, at about 6:00 a.m. in Makhachkala, in the Shamil Avenue, unidentified persons shelled the car with Abrek Gadzhiev, head of the Magaramkent District of Dagestan. Mr Gadzhiev later died from his wounds in hospital.

The Armenian-Turkish protocols should be ratified within reasonable terms, while protraction of the process by Turkey will result in Armenia's adequate answer under the norms of the international law.
