Lately, the capital of Chechnya saw almost two dozens attacks made from paintball rifles on girls without headscarves. One of the victims of these attacks lost her eye as a result of a paintball shot. According to human rights activists, local militiamen may be involved in the attacks.

In Chechnya, in the city of Gudermes, leaflets appeared on posts near the city bus station and in the vicinity of the marketplace calling Chechen girls to wear headscarves, eyewitnesses report.

Today at a press conference, relatives of Egle Kusaite, a native of Klaipeda, said that her confession about intention to commit a terror act in Chechnya was "drawn out" of the girl by means of psychological and physical violence.

Movlat Tsechoev, uncle of brothers Adam and Beslan Tsechoev, who were detained on June 8 in Sagopshi village (Ingushetia), is sure of their non-involvement in the terror act in Sagopshi. Movlat told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent about the events that preceded detention and about a spontaneous rally in front of the GUVD (Chief Interior Department) of Malgobek.

A number of youth organizations, which held their protest action on June 8 in Tbilisi under the motto "I'm also Orthodox - arrest me", demanded to release the detained members of the "National Orthodox Movement".
