The Ingush elder and protest leader, Akhmed Barakhoev, has not been released today from the IVS; and a criminal case was opened against him for using violence against law enforcers, his advocate has informed.

Ayk Martirosyan, a customs inspector, who received a remark from the Prime Minister due to his inappropriate attitude to the Armenian flag, has been dismissed. The State Revenue Committee has informed that Martirosyan quitted his post at his own will.

The village of Novomonastyrskoye, Kizlyar District of Dagestan, the disputed area next to which Chechnya registered as its own, was not visited by the commission on border demarcation between the republics; and no meetings on this issue were held, local residents have reported.
