The Saint Petersburg police have refused to clarify the fate of a native of Chechnya, Seda Suleimanova, who was detained on August 23, the SK SOS Crisis Group* has informed. Law enforcers gave contradictory information to Seda’s advocate and partner, who tried to find her.

An investigator refused to institute a criminal case on torture by law enforcers of Semyon Sukhinin, a resident of Anapa. The investigators even did not talk to the complainant and did not question him until lawyers of the “Team Against Torture” (TaT)* made an appointment with the chief of the investigation department.

Abdul-Malik Albagachiev told his advocate that he went on a hunger strike after one of the prisoners was beaten by employees of a penal colony in Astrakhan. The advocate sent complaints to the supervisory and law enforcement bodies with requests to bring the employees of the penal colony to justice.

Policemen came to the 26-year-old Seda Suleimanova, who had fled from Chechnya, and her partner and took them to the police station. Then the young man was released, and the young woman was taken to the airport to be sent back to Chechnya, human rights defenders have informed.

The Sochi Garrison Military Court has refused the contract soldier, Denis Neprokin, who is alone raising a child, to be dismissed from the Russian Army. The Court referred to the Russian presidential decree on mobilization.

The Supreme Court (SC) of Dagestan cancelled the court’s decision to refuse to recognize the inaction of investigators on a complaint filed by Magomed Magomedov, the deputy editor-in-chief of the Dagestani weekly newspaper “Chernovik” (Rough Draft).

Laurita Karpova, a participant in the reality show "Patsanki” (Tomboys), has posted a photo session, which depicts her engagement to another girl.
