A verdict of Astrakhan court to a local journalist Alexander Tokarev who was acknowledged guilty of insult to a representative of authority came into effect. Tokarev, in his turn, declares himself aggrieved.

Today, in the capital of Kabardino-Balkaria policemen shot dead a local resident who rendered resistance, as reported by the Investigatory Department (ID) of the Investigatory Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF) for the republic.
