"Environmental Patrol of Stavropolye" will hold a picket in protection of natural resources
On January, 29, a picket of non-governmental organization "Environmental Patrol of Stavropolye" will be held in 200th Anniversary square in order to draw public attention to the problems of protection of natural resources, i.e. the springs and forests. The action will last from 13 till 15 o'clock and, according the organizers' preliminary estimation, will gather no less than three hundred people.

Residents of Kavkazskie Mineralnye Vody demand to stop cutting trees on Mount Mashuk
Representatives of the public ecological organization "Solnechny Patrul" (Solar Patrol) brought to the Essentuki office of Alexander Khloponin, the Plenipotentiary Envoy of the President to the North-Caucasian Federal District (NCFD), an open letter of residents of the region named Kavkazskie Mineralnye Vody (Caucasian Mineral Waters) demanding to stop cutting trees on Mount Mashuk. The similar letters were sent to Russian President Dmitry Medvedev and Prime Minister Vladimir Putin.
