The PACE Committee proposed strengthening monitoring of Azerbaijan's compliance with human rights obligations.
The Committee on Legal Affairs and Human Rights of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe called on the Azerbaijani authorities to release all political prisoners, cease persecution of journalists, opposition figures, and human rights defenders, and expressed concern over Azerbaijan's failure to comply with decisions of the European Court of Human Rights.
Following farmers' protests, Armenian authorities have recommended selling tomatoes on the domestic market.
A representative of the Armenian Ministry of Economy met with farmers in the village of Arshaluys in the Armavir region, who had blocked the road the previous day due to the lack of a market for their tomatoes following Russia's import ban. He recommended that they sell their harvest at designated markets in Yerevan. The farmers countered that the journey was time-consuming, and prices were low due to tomato imports from Iran.
