NAC: persons killed in KBR had links with militants and extorted money from businessmen
The four suspected militants killed today in the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic (KBR) have been identified. According to the National Antiterrorist Committee (NAC) of the Russian Federation, they were engaged in supplying members of the armed underground with arms and ammunition; and were involved in extorting money from businessmen. Eight suspected militants were also detained in the course of today's special operation.
"Nida" activists arrested in Azerbaijan can be exposed to illegal methods of pressure, their leaders are concerned
In Azerbaijan, parents of the arrested activists of the civil movement "Nida" (Shout) Bakhtiyar Guliev, Shakhin Novruzlu and Mamed Aziziov refused from the services of independent lawyers, suggested by the leaders of the movement. The leaders of the movement are concerned about possible pressure on the detainees and believe that the criminal case against them was fabricated.
