Over the past five years – from 2010 to early 2015 – the number of victims of the armed conflict in Northern Caucasus has declined considerably: from 1705 persons in 2010 down to 525 – in 2014. The sustainable downward trend in the count of killed and wounded in the regions of the North-Caucasian Federal District (NCFD) is illustrated in the infographics drafted by the "Caucasian Knot" based on its own data and information from other open sources.

The General Prosecutor's Office (GPO) of Georgia has sent a petition to Ukraine for the extradition of the former president Mikhail Saakashvili, who is now employed there as an adviser to the Ukrainian President. However, the Ukrainian party refuses to cooperate on the matter, said the GPO.

Relatives of Pyotr Parpulov, an employee of the Sochi Airport, detained last March on suspicion of treason, could not meet him since then. His advocate Oleg Eliseev said that his client would not plead guilty and seeks rehabilitation.
