The Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF) has started the investigation into the murder of 34-year-old Imam Magomed Khidirov, who was shot dead in the Khasavyurt District of Dagestan.

Three weeks before the today's murder of Imam Magomed Khidirov in Dagestan, Zamirbek Makhmutov, Deputy Imam of the aul (village) of Irgakly, was killed in the Stavropol Territory.

Today, Imam Magomed Khidirov has been shot dead in front of the local mosque in the village of Novy Kurush of the Khasavyurt District.
