An anticorruption rally held in Makhachkala had nothing in common with the actions held by Alexei Navalny's supporters: participants of the event did not criticize the federal centre, but asked for help. This was noted by Dagestani journalists interviewed by the "Caucasian Knot".

The court has dismissed an appeal filed against the arrest of 80-year-old Yuri Babayan, accused of damaging a gas pipe. According to investigators, the above damage caused an explosion in a residential building in University Avenue in Volgograd. This was reported by Olga Tokareva, Senior PR Assistant to the Volgograd Regional Prosecutor.

Ruslan M., detained in the case of the murder of a pensioner of the Chechen Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) in Grozny on May 26, is a staff member of the Chechen police and not a fighter of the special unit for the National Guard (known as "Natsgvardia") of Russia. This has been clarified by the press service of the North-Caucasian District of the troops of the National Guard of Russia.

The lists of people recognized by the Human Rights Centre (HRC) "Memorial" as political prisoners mention 23 people, including residents of Dagestan, Chechnya, Ingushetia, Kalmykia, and the Krasnodar Territory. The awarding ceremony of the humanitarian Aurora Prize-2017 was held in Yerevan. Doctor Tom Catena, a surgeon of the Mother of Mercy Hospital, located in the Nuba Mountains of Sudan, and a missionary of the Catholic Church, was awarded the Prize on behalf of all survivors of the Armenian Genocide in the Ottoman Empire.
