Three children of a Georgian woman, convicted in Baghdad to lifelong imprisonment for involvement in terrorism, has been in prison with their mother, until the authorities agreed to transfer them to Georgia, Teya Tsulukiani, the Minister of Justice, has stated.

The counterterrorist operation (CTO) was the final one aimed to curb down the activities of supporters of the "Islamic State" (IS, a terrorist organization, banned in Russia by the court) in the Khasavyurt District, the National Antiterrorist Committee (NAC) has stated.

Nemat Panakhly, the chairman of the National Statehood Party of Azerbaijan (NSPA), was arrested for 30 days for disobeying the police. His wife and rights defenders do not rule out that he was arrested for his political statements.

The attack on a policeman in the village of Endirei was preceded by attacks on law enforcers committed in the Khasavyurt District in August and September 2018.

Azad Gasanov, an activist of the "Musavat" Party, was arrested on October 12, the following day after his return to Azerbaijan from Lithuania, where he was in political emigration. The reason for his arrest remains unknown to his advocate and relatives.

The protest action against the change of the Ingush-Chechen border is a unique example of residents' struggle for their rights, while in Kendelen, authorities manage to suppress the parties in conflict, activists from the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic (KBR), who visited Magas, have stated.

On October 12-13, the positions of the Azerbaijani Army stationed in two villages in the Karabakh conflict zone were shelled, the Azeri Ministry of Defence (MoD) has stated.

Today, within the counterterrorist operation (CTO), law enforcers began storming the house in the village of Endirei, Khasavyurt District, where the alleged militants, who wounded a policeman, were hiding.

Nikol Pashinyan's opponents failed to venture an aggravation of the political crisis; it allowed the Armenian Premier to speed up preparations for the early parliamentary elections. At the same time, Pashinyan managed to draw a part of the members of the Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) to his side, which will allow him to undertake the so-called "technical resignation" without any fear to occupy the Premiership again, the political analysts interviewed by the "Caucasian Knot" believe.

Elgiz Gakhramanov, a member of the NIDA Movement, who is serving his sentence in Colony No. 14, has been placed into dungeon (punishment cell), said Djamal Gakhramanov, his father.

The court has obliged the Ministry of Justice (MoJ) of Dagestan to reconsider the notification about a rally in support of the parents of the murdered Gasanguseinov brothers scheduled in Makhachkala. Representative of the Gasanguseinov family said the rally would have to be rescheduled for a later date.

Zhalaudi Geriev, a "Caucasian Knot" correspondent, convicted in Chechnya, should be immediately released, the PEN-Centre-Moscow Association has said in a report on the restriction of the freedom of speech in Russia.

The organizing committee of the rally in Magas has called on Russian President, Vladimir Putin, to cancel the agreement on the Ingush-Chechen border, signed by the heads of these republics.

The border agreement was signed "spontaneously", against the conflict over road works, Yunus-Bek Evkurov, the head of Ingushetia, has stated today, stressing that the document had been prepared in advance and without any Moscow's participation.
