The Azerbaijani President's idea of a joint peacekeeping mission of the Turkish and Russian military personnel has not been agreed with the other parties to the agreement to end the fighting in the Karabakh conflict zone, the press secretary of the Russian President states.

Since the early 2020, 15 terror acts have been prevented in the North-Caucasian Federal District (NCFD), and 23 units of international terrorist organizations have been liquidated, the chairman of the National Antiterrorist Committee reported.

The news about the cessation of the hostilities in the Karabakh conflict zone made residents of Baku happy. They held spontaneous processions and rallies with flags of Azerbaijan. Meanwhile, some of them were alarmed by the Russia's peacekeeping operation in Nagorno-Karabakh.

The statement by the President of Azerbaijan about a joint peacemaking mission of Russian and Turkish militaries in the Karabakh conflict zone was not included into the document signed by Aliev, Putin and Pashinyan on the cessation of hostilities in Nagorno-Karabakh. In his today's statement, Vladimir Putin also focused on the fact that a Russian peacemaking contingent is being deployed in the conflict zone.

The first aircrafts with Russian soldiers have flown to Nagorno-Karabakh; the Russian Ministry of Defence (MoD) has started deploying its peacemaking contingent there.

Near the Nakhichevan section of the Azerbaijani-Armenian border, a Russian military helicopter was shot down by mistake, the Azerbaijani Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) has informed. Baku has apologized to the Russian party.

The protest rally outside the Georgian parliament continues, despite the curfew imposed because of coronavirus. Three protesters who tried to bring firewood were detained by law enforcers.

A Mi-24 helicopter, which was escorting a motor convoy of the Russian military base through the territory of Armenia, was shot down from an anti-aircraft missile system near the border with the Nakhichevan Autonomous Republic, the Ministry of Defence (MoD) of Russia reported.

Soldier Mikail Aktaliev from the village of Ekazhevo located in the Nazran District of Ingushetia was among the three soldiers killed at a military airfield near Voronezh. A colleague of the killed soldiers who had escaped from a military unit was detained on suspicion of killing them.

The Defence Army has lost control over the city of Shushi, and the Azerbaijani troops are on the outskirts of Stepanakert, reports Vagram Pogosyan, the press secretary of the President of Nagorno-Karabakh.

In Georgia, during a rally held in front of the building of the Central Election Commission (CEC), 10 protesters, 14 law enforcers, and three journalists were injured, the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) of Georgia reported. The Human Rights Education and Monitoring Centre demanded from the authorities to stop using water cannons against participants of peaceful protests.

Today, the Ministry of Defence (MoD) of Nagorno-Karabakh has released a list with the names of more 44 killed military personnel.

A court in Rostov-on-Don has sentenced Anvar Kasumov, a resident of Dagestan, who, according to the prosecution, was going to attach an improvised explosive device (IED) to a quadrocopter and blow up the police post guarding the Temple of the Kazan Icon of the God's Mother of in Kaspiysk, to 16 years in prison.
