Russian anthropologist Stanislav Drobyshevsky stated that he was unaware of the cancellation of his lectures in Tbilisi, perceived the refusal without regret, and noted that he is ready to give lectures for the Georgian audience in Russia.

As reported by "Caucasian Knot", the lectures of Russian anthropologist Stanislav Drobyshevsky were canceled in Tbilisi after users drew attention to his words that all of Georgia was built during the Soviet era. Some social media users pointed out that there are many temples and public buildings in Tbilisi from the pre-Soviet era, while others believed that Drobyshevsky was referring to residential and social construction.

Stanislav Drobyshevsky commented on the cancellation of his lectures in Tbilisi on November 8. He told RBC that he did not even know that the lectures were canceled and added: "Well, thank God, I will have a day off."

Commenting on the reason for the refusal, he stated: "Apparently, the truth hurts someone. Democracy and freedom of speech in a European way. They were so eager to get there that they got it. Let them now sit, sulking, without lectures." The anthropologist also added that he is ready to give lectures for the Georgian audience in Russia. "Or they can come to us; I give lectures to everyone, and we have many other lecturers," he added.
