The former Minister of Civil Defense and Emergency Situations of Kuban has been convicted of exceeding his powers.
The Primorsky District Court of Krasnodar found the former acting Minister of Civil Defense and Emergency Situations of the region, Sergey Shtrikov, guilty of exceeding his official powers and sentenced him to 6.5 years of imprisonment in a general regime colony.
As reported by "Caucasian Knot", at the end of July, the criminal case against the former acting Minister of Civil Defense and Emergency Situations of Krasnodar Krai, Sergey Shtrikov, was transferred for court consideration.
According to court materials, in July 2024, Shtrikov, while serving as the Minister of Civil Defense and Emergency Situations of Krasnodar Krai, instructed his subordinates to cancel the results of the auction, the unified press service of the courts of Krasnodar Krai reported today on its Telegram channel.
To do this, he instructed employees to prepare fictitious documents about allegedly identified violations during the already held auction for the purchase and installation of a quickly erected modular fire station building.
It is noted that the repeated auction was won by an organization whose interests were lobbied by Shtrikov, in order to receive about 20 million rubles for this. Due to the actions of the convicted, the organization that initially won the auction suffered damages amounting to over 14 million rubles.
"As a result of Shtrikov's criminal actions, the rights and legitimate interests of the organization recognized as the winner of the initial auction were significantly violated. The property damage caused to it amounted to over 14 million rubles," the press service's message states.
During the court session, the defendant did not admit his guilt.
The court sentenced the guilty party to imprisonment for a term of 6 years and 6 months in a general regime correctional colony, with deprivation of the right to hold positions in state service and local government bodies for a period of 3 years.
The court also stripped Shtrikov of the special rank of police major. The amount of property damage was recovered from the convicted in favor of the victim party. The sentence has not yet entered into legal force.
"Caucasian Knot" also reported that the court arrested the head of the Slavyansky District of Krasnodar Krai, Roman Sinyagovsky, until December 31, who is accused of exceeding his powers and receiving a bribe.
