Three servicemen from Dagestan have been named as killed in Ukraine.
Kamaludin Yusupov, Magomed Abakarov, and Abubakar Yunusov were killed in combat operations in Ukraine. Since the beginning of the military operation, at least 2203 fighters from Dagestan have been officially recognized as killed in it.
As reported by "Caucasian Knot", by November 4, at least 2200 fighters from Dagestan were officially recognized as killed in the military operation in Ukraine.
The head of the Tsuntinsky district presented an award to the widow of Kamaludin Yusupov, a native of the village of Genukh, who was killed in the military operation, the district administration reports on its Telegram channel.
Kamaludin Yusupov was among the first local residents to decide to go to the special military operation zone, the publication notes.
Earlier, on October 23, the administration reported on its Telegram channel about the transfer of awards to the families of servicemen Magomed Abakarov and Abubakar Yunusov, who were killed in the military operation.
Thus, at least 2203 fighters from Dagestan have been officially recognized as killed in the military operation.
"Caucasian Knot" maintains a named list of natives from the North Caucasus Federal District and Southern Federal District who were killed in the military operation. The list is compiled based on data officially announced by representatives of the authorities and law enforcement agencies, according to the report from "Caucasian Knot" "Statistics of the Special Military Operation: losses for southern Russia are increasing".
Dagestan ranks first among the regions of the North Caucasus Federal District and Southern Federal District in the number of killed in the military operation whose names have been officially disclosed by the authorities. In February 2022, Sergey Melikov, who was then the head of Dagestan, was the first among the representatives of the authorities to report that a Russian serviceman - officer Nurmagomed Gadzhimagomedov - was killed in Ukraine.
State awards, memorial plaques, and appearances on "Channel One" do not guarantee support from the state for the families of the killed, according to the material from "Caucasian Knot" "Three comrades served: how the authorities deprive the families of killed volunteers of benefits", which describes the stories of the killed fighters. "I receive only twelve thousand rubles a month for two minor children as a family of military pensioners," said the widow of Vasily Shtylun, who received five million rubles for her killed husband from the "Veterans" unit.
