The court closed the proceedings on the lawsuit for the confiscation of Alexey Logvinenko's assets.
The district court in Rostov-on-Don has moved to a closed session for the consideration of the lawsuit for the confiscation of assets of the former head of the city administration and his relatives.
As reported by "Caucasian Knot", in October it became known that the Prosecutor General's Office filed a lawsuit with the Soviet district court of Rostov-on-Don demanding to confiscate Alexey Logvinenko's property worth nearly 1.6 billion rubles for the state.
This includes, in particular, a house with an area of 369 square meters in the gardening association "Gardener-Lover" in Rostov-on-Don worth almost 30 million rubles, a land plot registered in the name of the official's father, an apartment with an area of 140 square meters worth 27 million rubles, registered in the name of his partner, non-residential premises with a total area of 2,200 square meters in the same building, and cars including Audi, GWM Tank, Mercedes-Benz, and Toyota. Additionally, it concerns money seized during searches in the homes of Logvinenko and his father, as well as stored in bank vaults, RBC reported.
The Soviet district court of Rostov-on-Don has moved to a closed session for the consideration of the lawsuit by the Deputy Prosecutor General and Rosimushchestvo regarding the confiscation of Alexey Logvinenko's assets, his family members, and associated individuals, a court representative reported.
"The hearings will be held in closed session," his words are quoted today by "Interfax".
According to the agency, a hearing on the case took place on November 2, and the substantive consideration of the lawsuit is scheduled for November 24.
The defendants alongside Alexey Logvinenko include his father Valentin Logvinenko, Vasily Karpov, Andrey Nor-Arevyan, Viktoria and Roman Polulyashny, Ekaterina and Natalia Skorokhod. In the lawsuit, Ekaterina Skorokhod is named as the partner of the former official, while there is little public information about most of the other defendants, "Kommersant" reports today.
It should be noted that Alexey Logvinenko was detained on October 24, 2025, and subsequently arrested on suspicion of exceeding his authority. He refused to admit guilt.
Initially, the investigation suggested that Logvinenko, contrary to budget legislation requirements, attracted a loan from a commercial bank, which caused damage to the city budget amounting to 47 million rubles. It later became known that Alexey Logvinenko became a suspect in a second criminal case – for receiving a bribe of 13 million rubles from a representative of a group of commercial organizations in 2019.
Alexey Logvinenko was appointed as the head of the Rostov-on-Don administration in October 2019 by a decision of the city council, and in October 2021, the deputies extended his powers. The official resigned in January 2025, explaining that he was leaving due to health reasons and a new job.
