The case of labor slavery involving six people in Stavropol has reached the court.
In the Stavropol Territory, the investigation into the criminal case of organizing labor exploitation of six people has been completed. Three local residents found homeless individuals or those abusing alcohol for nine years and sold them for free labor.
According to the investigation, the organized group was created in 2015 by a resident of the village of Moskovsky. Three other people joined it.
From August 2016 to September 2025, the accomplices, in various compositions, found six individuals without a permanent residence or prone to systematic alcohol consumption in the territories of the Alexandrovsky and Izobilnensky municipal districts of the Stavropol Territory, the prosecutor's office of the Stavropol Territory reported today on its Telegram channel.
The "Alternative" movement considers the Rostov region and Stavropol Territory to be the most problematic in terms of labor slavery in southern Russia. "Recruiters" look for potential workers at the train stations of major cities, and the victims of traffickers are often people from the provinces coming to earn money, according to the report "Slavery in the North Caucasus" from the "Caucasian Knot" .
The accused, knowing that their victims were in a difficult life situation, needed a home and money, promised the victims employment with a salary, food, and accommodation at the workplace.
After obtaining the consent of three men and three women, they were transferred to the territory of one of the accomplices' homes and subsequently sold to other people for the purpose of attracting them to unpaid labor. The price for each person ranged from 10,000 to 30,000 rubles.
In addition, synthetic drugs were found with two members of the group. One of the criminal cases was separated into a separate proceeding.
The accused are charged with human trafficking committed by an organized group for the purpose of exploitation , as well as illegal acquisition and storage of drugs in large quantities without the intent to sell .
The criminal case has been sent to the Izobilnensky District Court of the Stavropol Territory for substantive consideration, the supervisory authority clarified.
"Caucasian Knot" also reported that the Kochubeyevsky District Court of the Stavropol Territory sentenced two brothers to seven and six years in prison. They were accused of using the slave labor of a resident of Adygea for one and a half years.
