The number of killed fighters from southern Russia in Ukraine has exceeded 9950.

At least 4946 fighters from the North Caucasus Federal District and 5008 from the Southern Federal District have been officially recognized as killed in the military operation in Ukraine.

As reported by "Caucasian Knot", by October 25, at least 9900 fighters from southern Russia were officially recognized as killed in the military operation: 4928 from the North Caucasus Federal District and 4972 from the Southern Federal District.

"Caucasian Knot" maintains a named list of natives from the North Caucasus Federal District and Southern Federal District who have been killed in the military operation. The list is compiled in accordance with existing laws and based on data announced by officials - from the governor to the village head, as well as representatives of law enforcement agencies.

The governor announced the erroneous mobilization of 379 residents of Volgograd
Military enlistment offices in the Volgograd region canceled the mobilization of 379 residents of the region, most of whom were unfit due to health reasons, said Governor Andrey Bocharov today, reporting on the completion of the first stage of mobilization.

According to "Caucasian Knot", by October 31, representatives of the authorities and law enforcement agencies officially recognized at least 9954 fighters from southern Russia as killed in the military operation: 4946 from the North Caucasus Federal District and 5008 from the Southern Federal District.

The highest number of killed remains in Dagestan - 2190. The deaths of 980 fighters from the Stavropol Krai, 598 from North Ossetia, 491 from Kabardino-Balkaria , 265 from Chechnya , 216 from Ingushetia, and 206 from Karachay-Cherkessia have also been confirmed.

Among the regions of the Southern Federal District, the highest number of killed (1875) is from the Volgograd region. The deaths of 1060 fighters from the Rostov region, 896 from the Krasnodar Krai, 765 from the Astrakhan region, 271 from Kalmykia, and 141 from Adygea have also been recognized.

The actual losses among combatants from the North Caucasus may be significantly higher than officially recognized. This situation is typical for all regions of the North Caucasus Federal District, but is especially relevant for Chechnya: Ramzan Kadyrov in February 2023 called on regional leaders not to disclose the number of killed. "I do not understand when regional leaders trumpet about the number of those killed in the special military operation. I have a question: for what? There is no need to manipulate the topic of our heroes, writing that so many died in one region and so many in another," he stated.

On September 21, 2022, Vladimir Putin announced "partial mobilization". On October 28 of the same year, the Minister of Defense reported to the president about its completion, but no corresponding decree followed. After the announcement of mobilization, attempts were recorded in the southern regions of Russia to mobilize people who, due to age or health conditions should not be sent to the combat zone.

It was first reported by Sergey Melikov, who was then the head of Dagestan, that a Russian military had been killed in the special military operation zone. On February 26, 2022, he reported that an officer, Nurmagomed Gadzhimagomedov, had been killed in Ukraine.

State awards, memorial plaques, and appearances on "Channel One" do not guarantee support from the state for the families of the killed, according to the material from "Caucasian Knot" "Three comrades served: how the authorities deprive the families of killed volunteers of benefits", which describes the stories of killed fighters, including from the Krasnodar Krai.
