Four fighters from Dagestan were killed in the special military operation zone.
Arsen Seidov, Gamzat Kazimagomedov, Tigran Aliyev, and Rashid Magomedkhanov from the Tabasaran district were killed in combat operations in Ukraine. Since the beginning of the military operation, at least 2,190 fighters from Dagestan have been officially recognized as killed in it.
As reported by "Caucasian Knot", by October 30, at least 2,186 fighters from Dagestan were officially recognized as killed in the military operation in Ukraine.
Families of the killed participants of the special military operation in the Tabasaran district were presented with Courage Orders. The award ceremony took place at the administration of the Tabasaran district. Widows, parents, and children of the servicemen received the awards, reported the district administration on its Telegram channel.
The Courage Orders were posthumously awarded to natives of the district: sergeant Arsen Seidov from the village of Rushul, private Gamzat Kazimagomedov from Sirtych, private Tigran Aliyev from the village of Firgily, and private Rashid Magomedkhanov from Juldzha.
The administration did not provide details about the biographies and deaths of the fighters in the message.
Thus, at least 2,190 fighters from Dagestan have been officially recognized as killed in the military operation. "Caucasian Knot" maintains a named list of natives from the North Caucasus Federal District and Southern Federal District who were killed in the military operation. The list is compiled based on data officially announced by representatives of the authorities and law enforcement agencies, according to the "Caucasian Knot" report "Statistics of the Special Military Operation: Losses in Southern Russia are Increasing".
Earlier, the death of a fighter from the Tabasaran district became known on September 21. At that time, the authorities reported that Abumutalib Ramazanov was killed in the military operation.
Dagestan ranks first among the regions of the North Caucasus Federal District and Southern Federal District in the number of killed in the military operation whose names have been officially disclosed by the authorities. In February 2022, Sergey Melikov, who was then the head of Dagestan, was the first among the authorities to report that a Russian military officer, Nurmagomed Gadzhimagomedov, was killed in Ukraine.
State awards, memorial plaques, and appearances on "Channel One" do not guarantee support from the state for the families of the killed, according to the material from "Caucasian Knot" "Three Comrades Served: How Authorities Deny Benefits to Families of Killed Volunteers", which describes the stories of the killed fighters. "I receive only twelve thousand rubles a month for two minor children as a family of military pensioners," complains the wife of Vasily Shtylun, who received five million rubles from the "Veterans" unit for her husband killed in 2022.
