The head of Novokubansk has been detained on suspicion of abuse of power.

Law enforcement detained the head of Novokubansk. According to law enforcement, he committed forgery by issuing documents for the commissioning of a car service station, knowing that a concrete plant was actually operating there. The damage from the official's actions is estimated at 12.1 million rubles.

The head of the Novokubansk urban settlement has been detained on suspicion of committing official crimes, the Investigative Committee for the Krasnodar Territory reported today. He is suspected of official forgery (part 2 of article 292 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation) and abuse of official powers (part 2 of article 285 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).

According to the investigation, in 2022, a lease agreement was concluded between the administration of the Novokubansk urban settlement and a limited liability company for a land plot with the permitted use of "Road service facilities." However, a concrete plant was built and operated on the land plot, which the head of the city became aware of in 2025. At the same time, he provided knowingly false information in an official document, issuing an illegal permit for the commissioning of a car service station, knowing that it was actually absent. Thus, the LLC acquired the building as property. The administration of the Novokubansk urban settlement suffered damage exceeding 12.1 million rubles. Searches were conducted at the head of the city's home and office. The investigation intends to petition for his arrest.

The head of Novokubansk is Alexander Minin, as stated in a message on the city's administration website.

"Caucasian Knot" also reported that in 2025, law enforcement detained the head of the Crimean district, Sergey Les, on charges of abuse of power, and the next day it became known that the Oktyabrsky District Court of Krasnodar placed him under arrest. Les's case has gone to court.
