The court seized the property of former judge of the Temryuk District Court, Evgeny Metelkin, for the benefit of the state, amounting to more than 228 million rubles.
The Lenin District Court of Krasnodar transferred the property of former judge of the Temryuk District Court, Evgeny Metelkin, and related persons to the benefit of the state.
Metelkin served as a judge from 2014 to 2026. His powers were prematurely terminated by the decision of the qualification board of judges of Krasnodar Krai due to a disciplinary offense.
The court established that Metelkin, together with a business partner, used judicial mechanisms to legalize the recreation center "Sea Nearby". It was transferred for use to the mother-in-law of the former judge, and his wife became the administrator of the complex. In addition, in 2021, the former judge made a ruling in favor of his business partner, legalizing unauthorized constructions that belonged to him.
Since the income used by Metelkin was allegedly obtained illegally, the properties acquired with these funds were registered in the names of trusted persons.
The court concluded that the property is subject to transfer to the benefit of the state. This includes a land plot, a hotel complex building, and several non-residential premises with a total market value of more than 228 million rubles.
Earlier, "Caucasian Knot" reported that on October 19, the Prosecutor General's Office of Russia demanded the seizure of property of former mayor of Rostov-on-Don, Alexey Logvinenko, for a total amount of more than 1.6 billion rubles.
