The participant of the special military operation, Gadji Malamagomedov, who had been missing for two years, was buried in his native village. Since the beginning of the military operation, at least 2177 fighters from Dagestan have been officially recognized as killed.

As reported by "Caucasian Knot", by October 23, the authorities and security forces officially recognized at least 2176 fighters from Dagestan as killed in the military operation in Ukraine.

In the Charodinsky district, farewell was said to Gadji Malamagomedov from the village of Charoda, a participant in the special military operation, who had been missing since August 7, 2024.

He was born on June 15, 1995. After finishing school and a road transport technical school, he continued his education at a university, then served his mandatory military service in the Strategic Missile Forces. Later, he signed a contract and served in the Black Sea Fleet's Marine Brigade, the administration of the Charodinsky district reported on its Telegram channel.

From the first days of the special military operation, he participated in combat operations, including in the Mariupol area, where he was wounded. In 2024, he performed combat tasks in the Kursk region. He was posthumously awarded the medal "For Courage" and the Order of Courage.

Thus, at least 2177 fighters from Dagestan have been officially recognized as killed in the military operation.

Earlier, news of the deaths of fighters from the Charodinsky district became known in July. At that time, the district authorities reported on the killed Shamsudin Ibrahimov from the village of Mukkutl.

Dagestan ranks first among the regions of the North Caucasus Federal District and Southern Federal District in the number of killed in the military operation, whose names have been officially disclosed by the authorities. In February 2022, Sergey Melikov, who was then the head of Dagestan, was the first among the representatives of the authorities to report that a Russian military officer, Nurmagomed Gadjimagedov, had been killed in Ukraine.

"Caucasian Knot" maintains a named list of natives of the North Caucasus Federal District and Southern Federal District who have been killed in the military operation. The list is compiled based on data officially announced by representatives of the authorities and security agencies, according to the report of "Caucasian Knot" "Statistics of the Special Military Operation: losses are increasing for southern Russia".

State awards, memorial plaques, and appearances on "Channel One" do not guarantee support from the state for the families of the killed, as stated in the material of "Caucasian Knot" "Three comrades served: how the authorities deprive the families of killed volunteers of benefits", which describes the stories of the killed fighters. In particular, the widow of one of the killed reported that without a body, the battalion did not make payments related to the death of the serviceman.
