New defendants have been arrested in the case of entrepreneur Suleimanov.
A court in Moscow has remanded two individuals in custody, whom the investigation considers to be participants in the criminal community of Dagestani native Ibrahim Suleimanov and executors of the murder organized by him.
As reported by "Caucasian Knot", Dagestani native, billionaire Ibrahim Suleimanov was detained in Moscow in October 2025 and arrested on charges of organizing the murder in 2004 of former head of the Federal Service for Financial Rehabilitation and Bankruptcy Georgy Tal. Along with Suleimanov, the alleged executor of this crime was detained. Suleimanov did not admit guilt. A few days later, it became known that three suspects were detained in Dagestan in connection with the attempted murder in 2021, which the investigation considers to have been organized by Ibrahim Suleimanov.
The entrepreneur is accused of three episodes of organizing murders, one of which was not completed and was classified by the investigation as attempted murder. According to the case materials, this concerns the murders of Georgy Tal and trade union activist of "Vnukovo Airlines" Gennady Borisov in 1999. The third episode of Suleimanov's case is the attempted murder of lawyer Ilya Peregudov in 2021.
A court in Moscow has sent two individuals to a pre-trial detention center, whom investigators consider to be the direct executors of the murder organized by Ibrahim Suleimanov, TASS reports today, citing court documents.
"[Each of them has already been] charged with committing crimes under part 3 of article 30, paragraph "g" of part 2 of article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (attempted murder by an organized group) and part 2 of article 210 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (participation in a criminal community)," the agency cites the case materials.
According to the case materials, the new defendants did not admit guilt and do not agree with the charges brought against them.
It was previously reported that investigators initiated a new case against Suleimanov and other detainees, adding to the organization of two murders and attempted murder a particularly serious crime - the creation of a criminal community and participation in it. All defendants face punishment of up to life imprisonment, the publication notes.
It should be noted that in the first two months after the arrest of Ibrahim Suleimanov, dozens of searches were conducted in Moscow, the Moscow region, and Dagestan, 26 witnesses were interrogated. One of the witnesses is classified.
Ibrahim Suleimanov is in custody. On September 26, the Moscow City Court upheld the extension of his arrest. The defense provided information about the serious illness of the accused, which prevents his detention in a pre-trial detention center, and stated that the court did not take into account his health condition when extending Suleimanov's arrest.
