The former deputy of the Legislative Assembly of Kuban is accused of fraud.

The court began to consider the criminal case of former deputy of the Legislative Assembly of Krasnodar Krai Alexander Ageev, accused of fraud with land plots.

The Lenin District Court of Krasnodar has started hearing the criminal case of former deputy of the Legislative Assembly of Krasnodar Krai, founder of the company "Almax" Alexander Ageev, who is accused of two episodes of particularly large-scale fraud.

The municipality of Krasnodar is the victim in the case, from whose ownership two plots of 1.5 hectares and three hectares were removed, with the damage to the city estimated at 178.5 million rubles, writes "Kommersant" on October 19.

The case concerns plots within the boundaries of the former state farm "Solnechny", which were allocated for construction. The investigation believes that between 2016 and 2018, Ageev illegally acquired rights to these plots and then resold them. To do this, he signed a lease agreement with the city administration and built on the plots objects that were indicated as housing but are not. In particular, they lacked electricity and gas supply, and were not connected to water, sewage, and heating, meaning they were uninhabitable.

Nine such houses were built on two plots. After the issuance of technical passports for the buildings, Ageev registered his ownership rights to the property and applied to the city administration for the purchase of the land beneath them on preferential terms, that is, without bidding and at a reduced price. He acquired one plot for 1.9 million rubles, and the second for 379 thousand rubles by court decision. Meanwhile, the market value of the plots was 117.9 million rubles and 60.6 million rubles, respectively.

In court, Ageev declared his innocence, noting that he simply exercised his legal right to purchase the land.

Alexander Ageev was a co-defendant in the anti-corruption lawsuit of the Prosecutor General's Office of Russia against the former chairman of the Supreme Court of Adygea Aslan Trakhov.

Recall that, as reported by "Caucasian Knot", in March the Fourth Cassation Court in Krasnodar upheld the decisions of lower courts on the confiscation for state benefit of property belonging to the former chairman of the Supreme Court of Adygea Aslan Trakhov and his relatives, amounting to over five billion rubles. According to the prosecutor's office, Trakhov registered land plots and houses in the name of his wife's father, wife, and son. Trakhov's daughter purchased 68 properties for 520 million rubles - these are apartments, houses, and land plots in Maykop, Krasnodar, and Novorossiysk. 27 of them were subsequently sold.
