A resident of Dagestan is suspected of financing an extremist organization.
Law enforcement officials believe that a resident of Dagestan knowingly transferred money to the account of an organization banned in Russia for extremism.
As reported by "Caucasian Knot", in July, a court in Dagestanskie Ogni sentenced a local resident, Sabir Murtuzaliev, to a fine of 320,000 rubles for financing an organization recognized as extremist in Russia. The man was charged under part 1 of article 282.3 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, which provides for imprisonment for a term of three to eight years. However, the court, taking into account mitigating circumstances, limited itself to a fine.
FSB investigators have opened a criminal case against a resident of Dagestan who is suspected of financing extremist activities (part 1 of article 282.3 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation), reports today RIA "Dagestan" citing the republican FSB.
According to the investigation, the man "knew for certain that a certain organization had been recognized as extremist by a court decision," and its activities are banned in Russia. However, despite this, the resident of the republic intentionally transferred money to the account of this structure, opened in a bank abroad.
Law enforcement officials are investigating the circumstances of the crime, the exact amounts of the transactions, and possible accomplices, the publication states. Other details, including the name of the banned organization, are not provided.
It should be noted that in July, a criminal case for financing an extremist organization was opened against a 29-year-old resident of Stavropol. Earlier, a similar case due to a money transfer made in 2026, was initiated against a resident of Dagestan.
