In the vicinity of Mount Achishkho in Sochi, two tourists strayed from the hiking trail and got lost. The rescue operation to find them and lift them from the crevice took more than 27 hours.

Two brothers, aged 15 and 19, strayed from the hiking trail and got lost in the vicinity of Mount Achishkho in Sochi.

The young men were found at night in a crevice on the rocky section "Wolf's Teeth"; they were exhausted and very cold, reports "Yugopolis" on October 18.

The rescuers could not approach them immediately, so they called specialists with climbing equipment. The descent to the victims took more than two hours, and the rescuers assessed their condition as unsatisfactory. It was not possible to call a helicopter due to rain and fog.

The operation to extract the tourists from the crevice lasted 12 hours; they were delivered to the rescue vehicle and taken to the squad.

Earlier, "Caucasian Knot" reported that in October last year, rescuers evacuated six adults and two children who needed help in the mountains of Sochi after the water level in the river rose.
