Problems with subsidized medications led to searches in the Ministry of Health of Dagestan
Officials of the Ministry of Health of Dagestan are suspected of negligence in organizing the procurement of medications for patients in need of subsidized drugs.

The situation with the availability of subsidized medications in Dagestan has improved compared to previous years, but "Patient and Housing Monitoring" receives dozens of requests a year, said Ziyavudin Uvaisov, the head of this organization, in March 2026 to "Caucasian Knot".

"The situation is improving, but it still cannot be called normal. Every year we receive dozens of requests from people who are not given medications in Dagestan. There can be various reasons - lack of funding, procurement issues, logistics problems," he said.

"Caucasian Knot" also reported that the Prime Minister of Dagestan, Magomed Ramazanov, stated that residents of the republic are forced to give bribes to doctors to receive proper treatment, and medical institution staff are hired for money. Residents of Dagestan, commenting on his words on social media, called for order to be restored in the Ministry of Health.
