Residents of Makhachkala complained about the high prices at gas stations.
The authorities of Dagestan stated that there is no fuel shortage, but many gas stations are still closed, and gasoline has to be sought, while prices have decreased slightly, car owners from Makhachkala reported.
As reported by "Caucasian Knot", Rosstat named Dagestan the leader in the list of regions of the North Caucasian Federal District in terms of fuel prices at the beginning of October. Residents of the republic, commenting on this data on social media, demanded specific actions to reduce prices in the region.
On October 13, the Prime Minister of Dagestan, Magomed Ramazanov, reported on his Telegram channel that he participated in a meeting on the situation in the fuel market led by the Deputy Prime Minister of Russia, Alexander Novak.
"In June and August, Dagestan faced a severe fuel shortage. Some of the reasons were delays in the shipment of previously paid petroleum products and a reduction in supply volumes. An additional factor was the increase in demand for liquefied gas against the backdrop of a significant rise in gasoline prices. To date, the supply situation has been stabilized. There is no fuel shortage. At the same time, we understand that the fuel market of the republic is almost entirely dependent on supplies from other regions, so it is necessary to continue working to ensure its stability," Ramazanov reported.
"The last time I refueled was on October 13, gasoline AI-95 cost 130 rubles. To find a working gas station, you have to spend time. There are queues, but not as big as a month ago," said a government employee Ali.
"Gasoline prices have not risen significantly in recent weeks, but the difference at different gas stations can be 20-30 rubles. I don't have time to search for a gas station with a low price, so I refuel wherever I find it. On October 14, I refueled AI-92 for 120 rubles," said a trade worker Zainab.
A school teacher Nabi told the correspondent of "Caucasian Knot" that many gas stations remain closed.
"Maybe if there were federal gas station networks, there would be competition between them and local gas stations. I perceive the government's information that there is no fuel shortage with caution. Compared to what it was before, it has improved, but many gas stations are still closed," says Nabi.
Entrepreneur Rashid last refueled AI-95 gasoline two days ago for 125 rubles.
"I deliver products from the company to stores. Since the beginning of October, the company has raised prices on various goods. Most likely, this is also related to the rising fuel prices, as consumption has increased significantly," says Rashid.
Nasir, who works in the field of repair services, previously told the correspondent of "Caucasian Knot" that he refueled AI-95 gasoline for 170 rubles, then the price dropped to 150 rubles.
On October 15, he reported that the price for this brand of gasoline at the gas station where he refueled was 130 rubles, and there was a queue of five cars.
The correspondent of "Caucasian Knot" on September 3 visited six gas stations located on the central streets of Makhachkala – Shamil and Akushinsky avenues, Ismailov Street. Five of them were closed, including the "Asko" gas station, which had been operating until recently. One was selling only gas for 45 rubles, and there was a queue of 20 cars.
On October 15, the correspondent of "Caucasian Knot" revisited these gas stations. The situation remained the same. Only one gas station was operating, selling only gas for 45 rubles. The others were closed, and one of them had only a car wash operating. The gas station on Ismailov Street had been dismantled, and a high fence stood in its place.
