Blogger Remeslo has been transferred from Moscow to St. Petersburg.

Native of Nalchik Ilya Remeslo has been sent from a Moscow pre-trial detention center to St. Petersburg, where his trial is taking place.

As reported by "Caucasian Knot", in September, the court in St. Petersburg extended the arrest of blogger Ilya Remeslo until March 8, 2027, who is accused of spreading fakes about the Russian army . The court did not satisfy the request to soften the measure of restraint. Ilya Remeslo, who was in a pre-trial detention center in Moscow, participated in the hearing via video link.

Blogger Ilya Remeslo was placed in a psychiatric hospital in St. Petersburg in March after the head of the special forces "Akhmat" Apti Alaudinov doubted that Remeslo - a pro-Putin blogger - voluntarily published criticism of the president. On July 17, Remeslo was detained and taken into custody on charges of spreading fakes about the army motivated by political hatred. On July 28, Remeslo was transferred from the pre-trial detention center to a psychiatric clinic, and on August 24, he was returned to the pre-trial detention center. According to the examination conducted at the Serbsky Institute, Ilya Remeslo was found sane.

Blogger Ilya Remeslo has been transferred from Moscow to St. Petersburg, his lawyer Sergey Badamshin reported today, drawing attention to the publication by the Telegram channel "Word to the Defense".

"Twice the Primorsky District Court of St. Petersburg postponed court hearings due to the absence of the defendant - Ilya Remeslo, who was in the pre-trial detention center in Moscow. Today, the Moscow City Court was supposed to consider the appeals against the extension of the detention period by the Basmanny District Court. According to the defense and the court, Ilya Remeslo has already been transferred to St. Petersburg," the lawyer wrote on his Telegram channel.

Later, Badamshin added that "this time the process did not go ahead either." "The Moscow City Court removed the case materials from the appellate review and returned them to the first instance court to notify Ilya Remeslo and organize his participation in the Moscow court," he reported.

Ilya Remeslo is a native of Nalchik, graduated from St. Petersburg State University with a degree in law, and was a member of the Public Chamber of Russia from 2017 to 2020, according to the Public Chamber's website.

Recall that on the night of March 18, Ilya Remeslo published a post "Five Reasons Why I Stopped Supporting Vladimir Putin." Among these reasons, he mentioned the military operation in Ukraine, internet blockages, and the unchangeability of power. The next morning, he continued to publish critical posts, and Apti Alaudinov called the blogger, suspecting that Remeslo's account had been hacked. However, he assured that there was no hacking.

Earlier, in November 2025, Apti Alaudinov stated that some Z-bloggers are covert enemies of Russia or unwittingly serve their interests by criticizing "Akhmat." He promised to destroy such Z-bloggers "within the legal framework through criminal law" if they do not apologize.

On the same day, the Gelendzhik City Court fined the author of the Telegram channel "Ohronota V vatnike" Oksana Kobeleva 30,000 rubles for publishing questions to Alaudinov, although she later deleted the post and repented for this material. On November 13, Alaudinov announced the reconciliation of two other Z-bloggers, Ilya Remeslo and Vladimir Grubnik - the latter, friendly to "Akhmat," complained to Chechens about criticism from Remeslo.
