A resident of Volgograd has been arrested for financing a terrorist organization.

In Volgograd, a 55-year-old resident has been detained, accused of financing terrorism and publicly justifying terrorist activities on the internet.
According to law enforcement agencies, from September 2022 to April 2024, the man carried out 19 financial transactions with his personal bank card, transferring money for the needs of a movement recognized as extremist and terrorist and banned in Russia, writes "Vysota 102" on October 12.
Moreover, it has been established that on his personal account on one of the video hosting platforms, he published text messages calling for the implementation of terrorist activities in the interests of the mentioned movement.
Criminal cases have been initiated under part 1.1 of article 205.1 and part 2 of article 205.2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, and the man has been taken into custody.
Earlier, "Caucasian Knot" reported that on October 12, a court fined a resident of Volzhsky 300,000 rubles for transferring 700 rubles to the "Anti-Corruption Foundation" (included in the register of foreign agents, recognized as extremist and banned in Russia).
