Resident of Shaki Ani Avetisyan, who was injured during the attack by Azerbaijani serviceman Nasimi Musaev, spoke about the clash with him, during which she lost a finger and sustained a gunshot wound. She accused law enforcement of failing to warn residents about the search for the soldier.

As reported by "Caucasian Knot", on October 1, Azerbaijani serviceman Nasimi Musaev was detained after an attack on a family in the village of Shaki in the Syunik region of Armenia. According to the Armenian Prosecutor General's Office, Musaev illegally crossed the border, entered the house, and opened fire, injuring local resident Ani Avetisyan, and medical assistance was also required for her children. On October 2, the court arrested Musaev for two months, and a criminal case was initiated against him. Residents of Yerevan believe that Musaev should be tried in Armenia, while others suggested exchanging him for Armenian prisoners.

Resident of the village of Shaki Ani Avetisyan shared details of the incident with Azerbaijani serviceman Nasimi Musaev, reported on October 12 by "News-Armenia".

According to her, she returned home and saw an armed man in her house, who aimed a rifle at her children. He fired a shot past them. The second time he tried to shoot her son, but Avetisyan grabbed the rifle and was injured in her left hand, losing her thumb. Several other fingers were also seriously injured. Then Avetisyan grabbed a knife, the Azerbaijani man threw her onto the bed and began to beat her. He aimed the rifle at her chest, but she pushed him away, and the bullet hit her leg. The man initially wanted to continue shooting but then fled.

Avetisyan clarified that Musaev held her children hostage for about 15 minutes, which was the time it took her to get from Sisian to Shaki. She also noted that she did not know the attacker was Azerbaijani, as he did not say a word during the clash.

The woman is outraged that law enforcement did not warn residents of border areas about the search for the Azerbaijani serviceman. "If we had been warned, I would not have sent the children to school, we would not have stayed in Shaki," she noted. Moreover, according to her, despite the alarm signal, she arrived in Shaki later than him.

Earlier, the incident was described as "ordinary criminal" by Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan. He stated that the woman should have waited for the police to arrive. "I understand that maternal instinct is strong, but when you call the police, you need to wait for the actions of the law enforcement officers," the publication quoted him as saying.
