The authorities' report on the purchase of new buses caused skepticism among Nalchik residents.
This year, 15 new buses will be purchased for Nalchik, reported the head of the Ministry of Transport of Kabardino-Balkaria, Aslan Dyshakov. Local residents, commenting on his report on social media, doubted that this measure would solve the public transport problem in the city. They pointed to the long intervals between bus services and the lack of evening routes.
According to the Minister of Transport and Road Economy of Kabardino-Balkaria Aslan Dyshakov, over 160 million rubles have been allocated in the republic for the purchase of buses for public transport in Nalchik.
"With the allocated funds, it is planned to purchase an additional 15 mid-class buses this year," TASS quoted him on October 11.
The announcement about the bus purchase was published today by the Instagram*-public "chp.nalchik", which has about 528 thousand followers. As of 08:40 MSK on October 12, this post received 157 likes and 43 comments.

"Everyone is buying and releasing, but they are still not there," noted bambr07.
"And what's the point?" asked natyjnie_potolki_737.
Other participants in the discussion pointed to problems with the work schedule and intervals of public transport. "Buses should run until 23:00, not all office workers finish by 20:00, some work until 22:00," wrote nelli_anat_.
"They are very convenient to travel on, but it's a pity that they run with long intervals," noted za_li_na_999.
"How nice. Well, buses should run until 23:00. People are coming home from work, children are coming back from training. There are jobs until 22:00 and even until 23:00. You can't rely on taxis. Big buses are very convenient for parents with children and strollers. And make the intervals more frequent," wrote damikmma.
Residents also asked to direct buses to specific routes and populated areas where public transport is lacking. "Will at least one bus get to Prokhladny? There are none," wrote ebertgalia.
"We ask you to consider the issue of organizing a bus route in the "Valley of the Caucasus" area (Chegem-1). Currently, there is no transport service in the area, and residents are experiencing significant inconveniences. A regular route is needed to ensure transport accessibility to the area," indicated rameta24.
"Put in bus number 19," asked olgaglusenko874.
Caucasian Knot also reported that residents of Nalchik periodically complain about problems with public transport. For instance, on September 9, residents complained about the lack of minibuses, due to which schoolchildren and students waited a long time for transport and were late for classes. On October 28, 2024, residents of Nalchik and the Chegem district pointed to the irregular operation of minibuses and problems with evening travel.
