Residents of the apartment building in Georgievsk complained about a leaking roof for several years and officials who ignore their appeals. The head of the Investigative Committee of Russia, Bastrykin, instructed to conduct an inspection regarding the complaint.

Residents of the nine-story building No. 10 on Batakskaya Street in Georgievsk complained about the leaking roof and related problems such as damp walls and mold.

They claim that the roof has been leaking for several years, and they have repeatedly appealed to various authorities, but they only receive formal responses. The management company and local housing officials state that a major roof repair was planned, but the contractor turned out to be unscrupulous, and they are now in court with him. The state housing inspection conducts inspections formally and issues orders to the management company, which are ignored, writes "Bloknot-Stavropol" on October 11.

Residents of the building state that the management company does not even carry out current roof repairs, causing the building to slowly deteriorate, and the residents' property and common property are becoming unusable.

After the situation was highlighted in the media, the complaints of the residents caught the attention of the head of the Investigative Committee of Russia, Alexander Bastrykin, who demanded that the regional management conduct an inspection and report on the results, reports 1777.ru.

Earlier, "Caucasian Knot" reported that in August, residents of an emergency dormitory on Ingush Street in Nalchik complained to Bastrykin about delays in resettlement. According to them, the dormitory was supposed to be resettled several years ago.
