The St. Petersburg City Court recognized the song "Shamil Smolyan" by the Dagestani performer Eldar Dalgatov as extremist. It has been added to the register of extremist materials.
The record of the track's ban was added to the Ministry of Justice register on October 7 under number 5519. Both the audio recording and the lyrics of the track are under restriction, reports the publication "Petersburg Diary".
The register specifies that the song by the performer using the stage name "Eldar Dalgatov" titled "Shamil Smolyan", starting with the words "Among the high mountains" and ending with the words "Good luck to you, life to thieves" has been included in the list of extremist materials.
The decision to ban the composition was made by the city court on June 30, 2026.
