The property of Gagik Tsarukyan has been seized.

The enforcement service has seized about 29 real estate properties, 488 movable assets, 33 vehicles, and shares in 27 companies of the leader of the "Prosperous Armenia" party, businessman Gagik Tsarukyan.

As reported by "Caucasian Knot", in early September, a court in Yerevan extended the arrest of the leader of the "Prosperous Armenia" party, businessman Gagik Tsarukyan, for two months. Tsarukyan considered the extension of the arrest to be expected.

Businessman and leader of the opposition party "Prosperous Armenia" Gagik Tsarukyan has been suspected of tax evasion by the "Ararat" brandy factory. The defense called the case absurd, as Tsarukyan has transferred all his businesses to management since 2003, when he was elected to the National Assembly. On August 6, a new charge was brought against Tsarukyan under articles on extortion and legalization of property obtained by criminal means. In early August, law enforcement detained former parliament member Argam Abrahamyan - the son of former Prime Minister Ovik Abrahamyan and the son-in-law of the leader of "Prosperous Armenia" Gagik Tsarukyan. Abrahamyan is suspected of organizing a murder.

In Armenia, based on a list issued by the Anti-Corruption Court, the property of the leader of the "Prosperous Armenia" party Gagik Tsarukyan has been seized, reports today "News-Armenia" citing the Enforcement Service of the Ministry of Justice of Armenia.

According to the agency's report, within the framework of the enforcement proceedings, about 29 real estate properties, 488 movable assets, 33 vehicles, and Tsarukyan's shares in 27 companies have been seized. The seizure also applies to shares and stocks in 40 related legal entities and their owned property.

In addition, large sums of money and expensive jewelry discovered by the Investigative Committee during a search of Tsarukyan's mansion have been seized. He is prohibited from illegally disposing of the discovered and seized property.

Within the framework of another enforcement proceeding, the change of ownership of Tsarukyan's real estate and buildings in the coastal area of Lake Sevan is prohibited, as well as actions that may worsen the condition of this property.

"Caucasian Knot" also reported that Tsarukyan's party "Prosperous Armenia" along with other opposition political parties previously issued a statement about the illegitimacy of the authorities and plans to seek their removal.
