The authorities denied reports of classes in the emergency building of the Aksai school.
In the video filmed by the parents, the functioning educational block of school No. 2 in the village of Aksai is shown, not the emergency building that has been closed since 2020. After the closure of the emergency building, classes are not held there, stated the administration of the Khasavyurt district.
As reported by "Caucasian Knot", on October 3, a resident of the village of Aksai stated that the emergency building of school No. 2 continues to be used for classes, despite the authorities' statements about its closure since 2020. In the video she filmed, children were shown on the school grounds and in the premises of one of the buildings. Earlier, the administration of the Khasavyurt district reported that classes are held in three of the four buildings, while the building constructed in 1879 has been recognized as emergency and closed.
The information about classes being held in the emergency building of the MKOU "Aksai Secondary School No. 2" is inaccurate, stated the administration of the Khasavyurt district.
The administration's message was received today in the feedback bot of the "Caucasian Knot". This message was also published in the Telegram channel of the Khasavyurt district education department.
All necessary documents, including project and estimate documentation, have been sent to the relevant authorities to address the issue of building a new school. In connection with numerous appeals, the question of transferring some students to the renovated school No. 1 is also being considered, noted the administration.
The educational process at school No. 2 continues as usual, and there are no grounds for its closure or disruption of classes, stated the authorities of the Khasavyurt district.
"Caucasian Knot" also reported that residents of Dagestan periodically complain about dilapidated and unsuitable schools for studying. For instance, on September 9, residents of the village of Gyukhrag complained that after the closure of the emergency school, children study in a rented private house, and the construction of a new school is being delayed. On January 25, 2024, residents of the village of Shinaaz reported that more than 100 children study in two shifts in a dilapidated and cold building.
