Boris Nadezhdin* and Natalia Arno* spoke in support of Movlaev.
Politician Boris Nadezhdin* and human rights activist Natalia Arno* participated in an action calling on the authorities of Kazakhstan to cancel the extradition of Mansur Movlaev, a native of Chechnya.
As reported by "Caucasian Knot", on September 29, 153 human rights defenders and organizations called on the authorities of Kazakhstan to stop the extradition of Mansur Movlaev and activist Yulia Emelyanova and to ensure their opportunity to leave for a safe third country. A few days before this, actions calling for the non-extradition of Movlaev and Emelyanova to the Russian authorities took place in Tbilisi, Ljubljana, Tokyo, and New York. On September 10, the cassation court in Kazakhstan found no violations in the refusal to grant Movlaev asylum, while protective measures from the UN Human Rights Committee, including a ban on his extradition to the Russian Federation, continued to apply to him.
A post stating that politician Boris Nadezhdin* and human rights activist Natalia Arno* (listed by Rosfinmonitoring as terrorists and extremists) spoke in support of Mansur Movlaev was published today in the stories section by the Instagram** public group supporting him, free_mansour_movlaev.
In the photo, Nadezhdin* and Arno* are standing indoors, with the politician holding a poster featuring a photo of activist Yulia Emelyanova, and the human rights activist holding a poster with a photo of Movlaev. Both posters have inscriptions calling on the authorities of Kazakhstan not to extradite Emelyanova and Movlaev to Russia.

Recall that in 2022, Mansur Movlaev was detained by security forces in Chechnya and held in an illegal prison. He escaped from there in January 2023 and made it to Kyrgyzstan. In August 2023, security forces in Kyrgyzstan detained Movlaev, who was wanted in Russia on charges of financing extremism. A court in Bishkek sentenced Movlaev to six months in a penal colony and subsequent deportation from the country. On November 20, 2023, Movlaev was released and left Kyrgyzstan on his own to avoid being sent to Russia.
In May 2025, Movlaev was detained in Kazakhstan and placed under extradition arrest. On January 30 of this year, the Prosecutor General's Office of Kazakhstan ruled to extradite him to Russian security forces. On February 24, the Supreme Court of Kazakhstan suspended the execution of the extradition decision until the final consideration of Movlaev's asylum application. On September 15, Movlaev, held in a Kazakhstani pre-trial detention center, attempted suicide, and the next day it became known about a second attempt in the hospital.
