The mayor of Krasnodar has resigned.

As reported by "Caucasian Knot", on November 9, 2022, the city council deputies elected Evgeny Naumov as the mayor of Krasnodar. Prior to that, he held the position of deputy governor of the Krasnodar region.

Evgeny Naumov has prematurely resigned as the head of the administration of Krasnodar. He announced this today on his Telegram channel.

"Today I have prematurely resigned as the head of the city," Naumov wrote.

Naumov did not specify the reason for his departure from the position. He thanked the residents of Krasnodar for their support and criticism, and Governor of the Krasnodar region Veniamin Kondratiev and the city council deputies for the trust they placed in him in 2022.

The temporary performance of the duties of the head of Krasnodar has been assigned to the first deputy head of the city – Dmitry Vasilyev, the administration of the Krasnodar region reported today on its Telegram channel.
