The condition of the road infrastructure in Nalchik has given rise to criticism of officials.

The roadway of Kaliningrad Street in Nalchik is not illuminated at night, which is why two people were hit, a local resident complained on social media. Other citizens, commenting on her complaint, reported non-working streetlights on other streets and criticized officials for unresolved issues with road infrastructure.

"It feels like our republic is living in the Stone Age. Interestingly, in Nalchik and the Kabardino-Balkar Republic, there are companies that produce street poles, posts, and lighting systems. We produce both poles and lighting and more. But we can't illuminate our city. It's like a shoemaker without shoes. But there would be a desire," complained dragon_641912.

"Cameras will be installed faster than lighting. Until there are victims, we do not react. We need victims to justify installing cameras," stated kumyshev_timur.
